Ola Lewczyk works primarily with beeswax, clay and biomaterials. Focusing on the process of making, the artist draws inspiration from craft practices, slavic folklore and building companionships with non-human substance. She continuously moves between the grounding and the intangible; for her personal symbolism is a medium and touch is a portal.
The candles are hand-dipped, made with 100% beeswax collected by Ola’s granddad from his hives in a polish countryside as a residue of the honey harvest.
